Fast Food At The Olympics
For those of you who haven’t been to China for a quick lunch lately, here’s a lovely view of the Chinese version of fast food to entice you. It may be somewhat more nutritious (??) than a Big Mac but there’s the emotional factor involved, especially when it comes to eating a pet. That alone would would give me heart failure.

The Chinese are known to eat about any animals, bugs, insects you can find on earth. Though I’m Chinese, I don’t touch those things in your photos. Not unless I join Fear Factor in which I can win huge $$$! I’ll settle for roasted Peking Ducks, thank you!

Yes, it was a mistake to look at that early in the morning. But… the Chinese have had a civilization for thousands of years. They have both an incredibly developed tradition of medicine and their cuisine has traveled all over the world. They have learned to eat almost everything. Dogs and cats, as well as humans are often treated badly in many countries. They do not live in air-conditioned mansions, while their owners are off working ‘like dogs” trying to pay the mortgage. We spend more money on our pets than most people in the world make in a year. Believe me, I love my pets like they were people, but that doesn’t mean it’s any better than what the Chinese do. No judgement, just a comment. And, I would be crying if I were there and saw that. So… go figure.

The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced.
