Understanding the “Law of Attraction”, An Introduction to The Atom

To even begin to understand the so-called “Law of Attraction” you need to start at the beginning and understand what an atom is.  The following is an easy to read report written by Seth when he was told to “make a model of an atom”  which is impossible to do if you have any clue as to what an atom really is.  Unfortunately our schools still teach children science of more than fifty years ago so they will not understand.  Fortunately, Seth is now home-schooled.  This is quite interesting and informative and basic enough to understand.  Enjoy.
The Story of The Atom and Why I Cannot Make a Model of One

Back in ancient times, people decided that everything was made of something, but they didn’t know what.  The idea of everything being made of really tiny bits of stuff was devised by Democritus in 530 B.C.  Back then people didn’t have last names.

Then, in 1808, an English school teacher and scientist named John Dalton proposed the “modern” atomic theory. Dalton decided that the atom was nothing more than a tiny indivisible sphere, and people believed this for a long time.

In 1897, a British physicist, J. J. Thomson did a series of experiments wiith electric current.
He ran electric current from one electrode to another through some gas. This produced a beam which he called a “cathode ray”.
The cathode rays were made of tiny, negatively charged particles, which he then called electrons.
He figured that the electrons must have come from the gas atoms or the metal electrode and since there was nothing else in the tubes, this made sense.
He also figured that the electrons must be really , really small, and that all atoms had them.

Later, an American Physicist named Robert Milikan measured the electrical charge of an electron. He also came to the conclusion that electrons were way smaller than any other part of the atom.

Then other scientists came up with these ideas:

1) Because the electron was negatively charged and atoms are electrically neutral, there must be a positive charge somewhere in the atom.
2) Because electrons are so much smaller than atoms, there must be other, more massive particles in the atom.

With all this information  Thomson came up with  a model of the atom that was like a watermelon. The red part was the positive charge and the seeds were the electrons.

Then Rutherford came along and did some experiments with gold.  He concluded that the gold atoms were mostly empty space.  However, some small region of the atom must be very dense . He called this dense region the nucleus, and decided that  the nucleus comprised most of the mass of the atom.
Then, to offset the negative influence of the electrons, he proposed that protons exist too, only in the nucleus.

So, he envisioned the atom as the positively charged nucleus in the center with the negatively charged electrons circling around it much like a planet with moons. Although he had no evidence that the electrons circled the nucleus, his model seemed to make sense.
This is the kind of model most kids in school make, but it does not make sense.  This is because
as the electrons move in a circle, they would lose energy and give off light. The loss of energy would slow the electrons down. Like any satellite, the slowing electrons would fall into the nucleus.

It was calculated that a Rutherford atom would last only billionths of a second before collapsing, so this is obviously not a good model to use.

In 1913, a Danish physicist named Niels Bohr came up with a new model of the atom.  Bohr decided that the electrons orbiting an atom could only exist at certain energy levels.  Different energy levels means that they would have to be at different levels from the nucleus, not at continuous levels as might be expected from Rutherford’s model.
When atoms in the gas tubes absorbed the energy from the electric current, the electrons became excited and jumped from low energy levels  to high energy levels.  That means that they would be moving from close to the nucleus to farther from the nucleus.  Then, the excited electrons would fall back to their original levels and give off energy as light.

So then he came up with the shell idea.  He decided that each electron orbit of the same size or energy (shell) could only hold so many electrons.  The first shell would have 2 electrons, the second shell would have 8, and the third shell or higher would have 8.  Since he couldn’t actually see the electrons nobody knows why he came up with this model, but it seemed to make sense at the time.
The Bohr model could explain the spectra of atoms with one electron in the outer shell very well, but was not very good for those with more than one electron in the outer shell.
Some smart people questioned why electrons should be confined to certain energy levels, and. more importantly, why don’t electrons give off light all the time?

Then, in 1924, a French physicist named Louis de Broglie came along and suggested that electrons could act as both particles and waves, just like light.  People thought he was a little crazy.

Later, an Austrian physicist named Erwin Schrodinger figured out that the French guy was correct!
In fact, the whole question of where exactly the electrons were was one of probabilities.  The electrons could be in any of a number of “electron density clouds” called “orbitals”.  You have to find the densest area of the cloud to have the highest probality of finding the electron.
There are lots of other variables, too.  Like: what is the energy level of the electron?  How fast is it moving?  What is the shape of the orbital?  Where is it in space?  Which direction is the electron spinning?
Another problem is that there are all kinds of “sub-atomic particles” that are part of the atom such as:

Six “flavours” quarks: up, down, bottom, top, strange, and charm;
Six types of leptons: electron, electron neutrino, muon, muon neutrino, tauon, tauon neutrino;
Twelve gauge bosons (force carriers): the photon of electromagnetism, the three W and Z bosons of the weak force, and the eight gluons of the strong force.  I am not making this up!  There is a lot of stuff in an atom and it is all energy.

There are a few other problems with making a “model of an atom”.
Protons and  neutrons are 2000x more massive than the electrons.

Most of an atom is empty space — the electron cloud is a trillion times bigger than the nucleus.

So if I made a nucleus of styrofoam balls, the electrons would be invisible, and somewhere in Texas…maybe.
Here is a picture, but it doesn’t give the actual perspective, just an idea. It’s really not even very close.

Now, there are some other very interesting things about atoms.  The electrons will show up as either particles or waves, depending on what the experimenters expect!  Some people think that the “usual” form is the wave, so what we think (expect) turns that wave into a particle (matter).

Another thing is that 99.99999% of an atom (or anything) is empty space.  There is so much empty space that if you could remove all the empty space, everything in the universe that’s left would fit into the palm of your hand!  Is it really empty space?  Some people think that it is some kind of “plasma” which is a bunch of subatomic particles.  That means that they are smaller than atoms, much smaller.

And the last, most important reason why I can’t make a model of an atom is this:
Electrons are negatively charged energy, protons are positively charged energy, and neutrons are neutral energy.  An atom is energy surrounded by huge amounts of empty space and some more tiny bits of energy.  An atom is not a solid.  It is energy.  How do you make a model of that?  So I wrote this report instead, to set the record straight.

Tips For A Healthy Lifestyle

Drink pure filtered water, not water in plastic and not tap water.

Get plenty of sunshine, take a vitamin D3 supplement if you can’t.

Eliminate refined foods (especially sugary and ARTIFICIAL foods), soda, msg, and caffeine, food coloring and preservatives.

Eliminate all poisons/toxic chemicals in cleaning stuff, toiletries, clothing, environment etc.

Avoid plastics as much as possible.

Laugh a lot. Enjoy life.

Take a probiotic for optimal intestinal flora.

Take a whole-food supplement, not artificial chemical vitamins

Eat plenty of FRUITS, VEGETABLES, NUTS, SPROUTED SEEDS, and BEANS. Eat only SPROUTED GRAINS!!!

If you drink milk, drink only raw milk from grass-fed cows, not highly refined pastuerized, homogenized milk from feedlot cows given growth hormones and antibiotics.

If you eat meat, eat only meat from grass-Fed animals treated humanely, not feedlot animals fed waste products and injected with antibiotics.

Have a pet.

Get enough sleep

Get dirty and forget about germs, they are here for a reason, to make your immune system strong.

Hang out with nice people

Have a BELIEF SYSTEM that supports only health. Focus on what you DO want: good health.
NEVER focus on what you don’t want (disease) This goes for fighting disease, what you fight will appear in your life because of the attention you give it.

Your thoughts create your reality. What you think about grows because that is where you focus your energy. Everything that exists today was once a thought in somebody’s mind. This thought became reality through taking action in a focused way. So in order to create success in the world, we must first develop thought patterns that are aligned with our vision of success.

A human mind generates approximately 60,000 thoughts per day, and many of them are the same thoughts as yesterday. How many new thoughts do you have per day? Do you spend your time recycling the same old thoughts, or do you continuously fill your mind with new ideas? In order to bring about positive change in your life, you must create new empowering thought patterns in your brain. Old thoughts just create the same old thing, while new thoughts can create success in any area of your life.

What thoughts are currently controlling your life? Do you know what you spend the most time thinking about? If you are dissatisfied with some part of your life or some personal habit or behavior, you must first become aware of the thought patterns that are creating your current state of dissatisfaction. Most people are not aware of their thoughts, and do not realize that they have the ability to change their thought patterns at any moment. You can easily shift any mental pattern if you truly desire change and take the necessary action steps. Below, I have outlined a process that allows you to gain awareness of your mental chatter, and to shift into supportive beliefs and thoughts.

Love

Why write about love on a blog dedicated to “creating wealth and health”?

We usually think of wealth as having lots of money, and money is great, it certainly can provide the freedom to enjoy a healthy and fulfilled life. True wealth however, would be in having an abundance of all that makes life joyful including friendship, support, laughter, fun and love.

On the other hand it is impossible to enjoy vibrant health if one is feeling unloved and unwanted. What is love anyway? Is it a person to take care of you? A feeling? An emotion? A magical, mystical power that is here, there or everywhere depending on your point of view? Why does it often elude us?

Love is so pure, and so simple. Many people confuse it with something difficult and complicated. It is confused with needs, wants, expectations, obligations, desire. Love is none of these. We say “unconditional love” when such does not exist, because love is not an object to be labeled, nor is it finite and something which can exist or not exist through our own will. Conditional love is a contradiction in terms, for that which is conditional does not equate with love at all.
Love is not something to be given or received, because that is not the nature of love. How can one give away what one does not own? Who owns the air we breathe, the scent of a rose, the colors of the spectrum, the warmth of the sun? They exist, as love exists, except love is limitless in all aspects. Love is all. It is God within every living soul. We may become, in our minds, in our thoughts, unattached from love, but it exists nonetheless. We may imagine we are unloved, but it is not so. Love is eternal and omnipotent, even when we do not allow ourselves to embrace it.

We all need to be touched, held, and nurtured. It is necessary to life in the physical world and a tangible expression of love. It is wonderful and pleasurable, but it is not love itself, and its absence does not indicate a lack of love. Lack of love cannot exist, as lack of God cannot exist.

Have you ever loved someone and they responded in an unloving way? This is because they live in fear. They think love is something outside of themselves that they are called upon to attain, to do, to be, to feel…something that is required of them that they don’t understand how to produce. They get it confused with the many things we humans think of as love. So they retreat, out of fear, and fear obscures love. Surrounded by fear, love unacknowledged is perceived as sadness too deep, a pain too unbearable.

Love truly expects nothing in return, for expectations are a human contrivance. Love simply is. We need to stop trying to shut it out for fear that it is something else. Let go of hiding from love, guessing what it may or may not be. Remove the walls we have built in our minds, for love cannot be contained anyway. Neither can we be separated from it, although God knows we try, by seeking it as though it were not here, everywhere.

If we let go of every thought we ever had about love we will see the light shining so brightly we will be amazed that we ever missed it. The day will come when we recognize ourselves as who we truly are and every soul we encounter will bring forth an outpouring of love. Beauty will reside in every sight, and peace will be complete. If we would only allow it to be so, the love that permeates our being, unleashed, would transform our world.

What is the Real Key to Creating Wealth and Health?

Most of us want to improve our lives in one way or another. Usually, we want to improve our financial situation so we can have the “good things in life”, however we define that. And of course most folks do desire to be healthy and fit despite the fact that it seems impossible at times.

So, we start a new business, get a new job, start a new diet, make resolutions, and in general try to DO things differently. And what happens? Sure things change for awhile, but usually it doesn’t last long and we are back to “same old, same old”. DOING things differently is good, but what, on a deeper level, causes us to do what we do, and go back to doing the things the same old way and staying in the same old rut?

It’s no secret that if we are BEING angry, we can DO some rather hurtful things to others. And if we are BEING kind, caring and compassionate we can DO some amazingly wonderful feats. If we are BEING fearful, resentful or critical we might just DO something hurtful. If we are BEING supportive, loving and helpful, it’s obvious that we are going to DO something good in our world. But what, on a deeper level, causes us to BE the way we are?

If we believe we are helpless victims with no control over what happens to us, it’s bound to make us BE angry. If we believe that we are all worthwhile and deserving, we will BE kind and caring to those in need. If we believe that others are out to get us or are “not good enough” it is easier to lash out in a misguided attempt to protect ourselves or prove we’re bigger/better/stronger. Bur what, on a deeper level, creates our beliefs?

Unfortunately, we usually believe what we are told to believe, often without question. We are told what to believe by our parents, teachers, doctors, religious leaders, and other “authority” figures and the media. The problem here is that most of these beliefs are just that, beliefs. Not truths. The solution is to recognize that your beliefs are not necessarily true (especially if there is anything less than joy, abundance and harmony in your life) identify those beliefs, and then change them! But, on a deeper level, there is a little more to it.

Thoughts create beliefs, and beliefs create thoughts. Why is this important? We’re going to learn a little about quantum physics here first.

Your body is made up of cells. These cells are in turn made up of molecules, which are made up of atoms, which are in turn made up of sub-atomic particles such as electrons. Everything is made up of large groups of sub-atomic particles which are rapidly flashing packets of energy. Because they are rapidly flashing, they can exist at various points in time and space.

They are not “objects”. They are ‘probabilities of existence’ and at the same time ‘multiple existences’. They are also wave-like and particle-like at the same time. They are the ENERGY which everything, including our thoughts, is made of. It has been proven scientifically that these particles react the way the experimenter EXPECTS them to react. In other words, we are in control. Our thoughts and beliefs create our reality.

Therefore, it is necessary to change our thoughts and beliefs before we can create any kind of permanent change in our lives. After having spent a good amount of time trying to figure out how to do this, I’ve come up with two solutions that are easy and effective. One is EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and the other is hypnosis, both of which tap into the subconscious, but in different ways.

EFT is a way of stimulating energy meridian points on the body by tapping with the fingertips. It clears negative emotions, which in turn clears physical ailments, long-term negativity and blocks of any kind. Hypnosis plants positive suggestions right into the subconscious mind, thus changing the belief system without any conscious effort. Since ideally you should listen to the hypnosis session every day for 21 days it makes sense to just buy hypnosis CDs. Don’t bother with trying various different hypnosis recording, I’ve already done that for you. Some hypnosis CDs are OK, some are BORING, some have annoying background music, some have negative suggestions and some are just awful. The very best are from Steve G. Once the limiting beliefs are identified and the associated thoughts and beliefs are changed to ones which are more beneficial, you’ll begin to see real changes in your life!
